4 Reasons You Might Need A Tow Truck This Spring

18690040_sThe spring sun brings with it the inspiration for road trips, camping vacations, and day trips. But, all of these plans will be quickly halted if you need to call a tow truck for help.

A tow truck is designed to hook-up your vehicle, boat, or trailer and haul it to an auto repair shop to fix whatever is wrong. If you need the help of a tow truck, it probably means you are not going to be getting to where you were headed.

Here are some reasons you might need to call a tow truck:

Motor vehicle accident. If you are involved in a car accident, you or someone on the scene will need to call for a tow truck immediately. Once the accident has been assessed by the responding police or highway patrol officer and they have enough to write an accident report, the cars involved in the accident need to be moved off of the road to allow traffic to continue moving. After tending to anyone who had been injured, clearing the scene is the most important thing

Your car has broken down. Your car is a complex piece of machinery and any number of things can go wrong with it. Whether it’s a transmission issue or your engine overheats, you could find yourself stranded on the side of the road with a car that is not going to get you anywhere. Depending on where you are and what time of day it is, this could be extremely dangerous.

You’ve run out of gas. Sometimes you think you can get to the gas station and your car tells you otherwise, or you’re not familiar with where you are and the nearest gas station is miles away. For whatever reason, we’ve all run out of gas at least once. When walking to a gas station isn’t an option, you can contact a tow truck for help.

You have a flat tire. Flat tires can be scary if the tire blows while you are driving, and they can be a real hassle when it comes time to change. If you find yourself with a flat tire, you can call a tow truck to come and help change it for the spare

Getting out of your routine and on the road for some R&R in the spring sunshine can be fantastic. Don’t let a breakdown with your automobile put a damper on your plans. Rest assured that you’ve got back up and don’t hesitate to call for a tow if you need it!

  1. I am glad you mentioned that you may need a tow truck when you have a flat tire. I recently popped a tire and realized that I hadn’t gotten a new spare. Thank you for the information on reasons you may tow your car this spring.

  2. I like what you mentioned about a tow truck being able to tow a car for a myriad of reasons, like running out of gas. I think that knowing the right tow truck company is vital for any season and it can rid of unwanted stress. If I ever find myself in need a truck, I’ll do my homework and choose the best option available.

  3. Thanks for pointing out how people should call on a towing service to pick them up at the side of the road if their car breaks down since it can be dangerous. I will be sure to share this tip with my daughter who works as a photographer. She is frequently on the road, so there’s a good chance that her car will break down sometime in the future.

  4. Thank you for mentioning that you might need a tow truck because you’ve run out of gas. I remember when I was little that this was a problem we ran into a few times. It’s definitely something that I’ll try to avoid, but keep in mind for the future.

  5. I appreciate how you mentioned that when you run out of gas on the road, you can call a towing company for help. My husband constantly underestimates how much gas he will need to get somewhere, and as a result, he’s constantly getting to gas stations with a nearly empty tank. We’ll have to find a reliable towing service in our area that can help out in case he altogether fails to reach a gas station so he can get to where he needs to go safely. Thanks!

  6. Thanks for pointing out that a tow truck is needed when your car has a flat tire. As you said, they can easily be contacted and change the tire for you. I will definitely call one since the left hind tire of my car has been deflated because there was a nail under it when I winterized it. I did not notice it back then due to being too busy with all the events and things to do.

  7. My sister likes to drive a lot and is planning on traveling this summer. If her car ever broke down or was damaged it could be useful for her to be able to trust a professional. It was interesting to see that if her engine overheats she would be stranded on the side of the road.
